The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce serves your business needs in many ways:
Business Referrals
Your Chamber is a clearing-house for information about San Benito
County and its businesses. The Chamber staff responds to an average of
1000 calls per month, which result in increase business opportunities
for members. The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce is the only
Chamber within the County that has a sophisticated computer system with
the ability to track each call received and directs the caller's
inquiry to the member. At the end of each month, cards are sent to each
member announcing the number of calls the Chamber was able to refer to
the member business during the month.

Regional Voice Through Membership Collations
Your San Benito County Chamber of
Commerce belongs to several area Chamber coalitions, which provide a
regional business voice. Business trends are discussed, then dispensed
to the membership at large. These informal organizations include the
South Bay and Peninsula Area Chamber Executives, Monterey Bay Area
Chamber Executives and the Central Coast Chamber Executives

Business Counseling
Your Chamber provides many resources to help
you run your business more effectively. One-on-one business counseling
and business development strategies are available in the Chamber
office. Through partnerships with the Gavilan College Small Business Development Center, the One Stop Career Center,
Economic Development Department, and the Economic Development
Corporation, members are able to take advantage of services that
minimizes business risk and maximizes success and profitability.
Practical working seminars and workshops are periodically hosted
throughout the year. The Internal Revenue Service's Taxpayer
Education & Communication Office provides customer focused
products, services, and assistance to educate small business and

Chamber Mixers
Chamber Mixers are a great way to both relax and network after business
hours. Mixer are held the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm. A
different member is the featured mixer host every month. The Annual Business After Hours Calendar is posted on the Chamber website.
Chamber Newsletter
The Chamber News is a monthly newsletter in printed form and is also
available on the Chamber website in PDF format. The Chamber News
showcases members and businesses, and provides advertising and article
contribution opportunities for members.
Chamber Website and Publications
The Chamber website, at www.sanbenitocountychamber.com,
provides the San Benito County business community with a wealth of
up-to-date information regarding Chamber benefits and activities, along
with general information to area residents and visitors.
The Chamber publishes a directory called california.calm, a Guide to San Benito County.
California.calm provides community highlights, community features,
demographic information and a business directory of members.
California.calm also offers members opportunities to be featured
advertisers.
Your Chamber also publishes a current map to
the County, Hollister, and San Juan Bautista that also provides
advertising opportunities to Chamber members.
Tourism Council
Your Chamber is the Tourism Council of San
Benito County. Several businesses create an environment of interest to
people seeking what-to-do and what-to-see. These businesses contribute
to the well-being of our community financially, physically,
recreationally, emotionally and spiritually.
Film Commission
Your Chamber is the Film Commission
in San Benito County. The pride of the County is in the vistas and
unique 'Old California' flavor. Several commercials and feature
films have been made over the years. Feature films and commerciasl have
consistently brought revenue to our community since 1925 wanting to
relive the excitement in California.calm country.
